My recollection from previous threads is that the shock on a 2002 RS is
365mm eye-to-eye. Given an approximate ratio of 3:1 for shock travel to rear
axle travel, even a 3mm longer shock could result in a 10mm increase in ride
height (noticable, may be desirable). If you know you want the bike to steer
a bit quicker, then getting a slightly longer shock isn't a bad thing. Just
be sure you can adjust the length back to stock if desired.
