California vehicle code says it is ok to proceed through a
malfunctioning signal, as long as due caution is used. You'll need to
research Oregon's code, but I would imagine they have something
similar.
You will need to offer some proof that sensors aren't receptive to your
Sprint. The fact that companies make devices for just that purpose
should suffice. Be sure to mention that there isn't much iron on your
Sprint.
