Dave
On my '00 RS, I have used it quite a bit in the higher gears BUT. I
have false neutrals between 4-5 and 5-6. If you hit one of these it can
drop in on its own shortly afterwards. If you're pushing it, especially
not in a straight line, it could throw you off.
I would only use it on lazy rides and never on a bend. Even then,
extra pressure on the gear pedal to ensure I've done my best to get it
in.

Does anyone out there regularly up-shift without using the clutch?
Any
issues with the transmission as a result of this?
I have recently been taught this technique, but am hesitant to use it
on my
bike...
Thanks,
- Dave
