I took the fuses out for the brake lights and front lights and signals -- 4
fuses in all. Didn't need to tape the lights, they just wanted to make sure
they wouldn't light up -- their rules are:

"disconnect brake light, or remove bulbs/fuse, or completely tape brake 
light lens (no bleed-through!)".
