I use a Chatterbox system. I have been quite happy with it but I have no
ground to compare it to the other systems available because I got such a
good deal on it, it was basically a compulsive deal with not a lot of
comparison shopping. I am able to carry a conversation with the wife at
above posted speed limits, listen to my Ipod and talk on my cell phone. I
have mounted the box just in front of the key switch and use a standard
extension cable to plug in my helmet. I ran an extension cable to the
bracket that also houses the power port so that my wife's helmet can plug
into there. I then ran a power cable up to the box so that I can power it in
case of battery drain. I utilize the open face headsets with my full face
helmets. It means the mike is a little bigger and can become a little
distracting if you like to carry on long conversations, but are easily moved
out of the way when not needed. The benefit is that the noise reduction is a
little better.
Benefits of FRS are also a big plus.
Just my $.02
Justin
