Well here in BrisVegas (Brisbane Australia for the non believers ;) the cops
have nothing better to do than actually set up a position specifically to
catch 10 kph lane splitting amongst stationery traffic. 
And the other day they had two hwy patrol cars and 4 cops at rush hour in my
suburb, just to book drivers for turning right in a restricted right turn.
So the response was that drivers now go past the junction, pull an illegal
(and dangerous) U-turn in the middle of the road, and then turn left!
What we need is a crime wave to get them a proper job.
