Neil,
Let me give you a real clear statement.  I really don't know what happens.
There is a subject list on the T595 list that deals with all these tuning
things that has guys who devote there lives, it seems, to Tuneboy.  One of
them said words to the effect that the number read is the base tune, but
I'm still not clear on the relationship of Tune Number and Base Tune.

On my ST, my dealer put in a Triumph tune using the O-Fish-L Triumph gismo
when I put on my Triumph CF can.  Tuneboy came back with 10130.  On my RS,
which was dealer stock, Tuneboy came back with non-standard tune, I can't
read this thing, or something like that.  I downloaded that and sent it to
Wayne who sent me back a loadable "tune". I think it now says 10119 which
has a base tune of 10093.  I loaded another tune on my ST that was heavily
modified that said 10130 and base tune 9888 or something like that.  Sorry
it's hard to remember long strings of numbers when your getting old.  The
last two that I loaded both are modified 10130's but they both just say
10130.  In my opinion, if you want to go back to stock, which is what I
think the original intent was, you can read the description and just
download file.
