[ST] Coolant air bleed bolt

A quick lesson learned...

If you have an older RS (maybe ST too?) with the separate plastic thermostat housing combined with the rad cap, beware of the air bleed bolt in the top being siezed. The bolt is in a brass insert in the plastic which would rather spin freely in the plastic than surrender its best friend Mr Furry Bolt. Fowlers wanted 115 quid + VAT for a replacement housing.

I tried a breakers and they had to try 4 before they found one that the bolt would come out; interestingly he said that all the daytona ones he tried were fine, maybe the full fairing protects it a bit more from the elements. The daytona unit fits fine on an RS if you swap the daytona temp sensor for the smaller blanking plug used on the RS (a 30 second task).

So if you're gonna drain coolant a night soaking in release oil might be prudent (the bolt, not you).
