I went down 2 in the front on my '01.  It's not too bad - a little buzzy on 
the slab at around 80mph.  I think dropping one tooth in the front - to 
18/43 is the best compromise.  I'm going to go to an 18 when I get the 
chance, but the 17 is not horrible...
