Re: [ST] List wisdom need on a front tire

You aren't starting a tire thread are you? I'd say replace it. With
what is your decision, but the top choices are (IIRC):

Michelin Pilot Roads, Metzeler Roadtec Z6, Avon Azaro AV45/46

Good luck!

Finally got a chance to change out the "orangey" brake fluid at both
ends of Skittles and now (of course) the front grabs a lot harder with
much less "squish".

So, in the name of safety in knowing the limits of my bike, I
practiced
a few panic stops with the front brake from 40mph. One of more
vigorous
attempts, after a 40 mile ride to be sure the tires were warm, a firm
pull on the front brake, on a level bit of pavement in good repair,
left
a 2 foot skid mark. I'm very happy I was straight and level and
didn't
tuck the front end and now I'm wondering:

It's probably time to replace this front tire, a Dunlop that came to
me
under inflated and moderately cupped. I'm thinking the tread isn't as
sticky as it once was, having sat around for at least a year between
the
totaling and ending up in my hands.

Thoughts?
