RE: [ST] Mileage

I run 40 rear & 38 front. I'm pretty consistant about checking and maintaining these numbers and I haven't really changed my habits or pressures as I change tire brands. I don't know exactly what causes cupping either, but I do know that when all the other variables stayed the same, changing tire brands had an effect for me. Also, I did experience cupping on the OEM Bridgestones. It seemed much worse on those than on the Avons. At the time I was thinking it had something to do with tread patterns and aggressive use of the front brakes, but I'm not so sure about that anymore...

I run Pilot Roads and I have cupping. Interesting.

What pressures are you running? I run the OEM 42rear/37front.

The cupping in the front annoyed me though, so I moved on to Michelin Pilot Roads. I like
the feel of these better and so far no cupping after about 4k miles.
