Re: [ST] Racing Videos

Heh... sounds like what I pull regularly around the Denver area on my
old Viffer (still looking for a Sprint, BTW, need to quit buying old
bikes and save some money for a new one! My garage is filling up!). I'll
blow by 'em anywhere near a corner - braking into, mid-corner, or
exiting - and they'll get all bent that they just got passed by a 20
year old rat bike and blow by me on the straight. I've even gotten a
squiddy finger extended in my general direction a few times. Makes me
laugh.

What I really love is catching them in the canyons, riding rather
sedately in that I'm staying mostly in a standard riding position on the
bike, and they'll be hanging off their GSXRs and CBRs like kids on a
playground jungle Gym, and as long as the canyon is twisty enough, they
never lose me, or pass me if I'm in front already. I attribute that much
less to my own skill than to their lack of skill, and I know that any of
those bikes if ridden properly will slaughter me in those situations...
But still, makes me laugh.

This morning I turned onto the N1 freeway on the way to work, next to a
guy on a GSXR 1000 (K5).

I had a better line, got the power on earlier and blasted past him as he
straightened his bike up.

The next second he just flew away from me, the difference in
acceleration was shattering, I felt like I was riding a 125cc scooter.
