Re: [ST] Fuel fittings

Dan,
You can't buy the fittings directly from Colder. Capt. Serlick got them out
of the same distributer that I did in York, PA. In my case, Colder's area
rep set it up for me to get a good deal. Normally these destibutors only
deal with packs of ten, that's ten each, and you have to pay extra for
viton. I got two sets for right about $100 complete with viton seals inside
and out. Colder must be getting tired of talking to Triumph owners and now
directs to Fast by Feracci, a Ducati specialty dealer in Philly. Their
prices suck. It's actually cheaper to buy the kit and when you get it, it
has the right parts. When I tried the first time through Great Bay, they
sent me the wrong fittings and I had to send them back. What follows is
from an old email on this same subject.

You need to measure to determine what you need. Apparently Triumph used
different sized hoses on different Year/Models

These are all 1/4" flow fittings

1. The fitting screwed into the tank is a threaded Coupling Body in BSPT,
British Standard Pipe Thread.
    This will be either,
    FT-LCD100-04BS 1/4" or
    FT-LCD100-06BS 3/8"
These both have internal check valves.

2. The other Coupling Body is a Hose Barb type, either,
    FT-LCD160-04 1/4" or
    FT-LCD160-06 3/8"
Again, all these have check valves

3. The last two fittings are the same, either
    FT-LCD230-04 1/4" or
    FT-LCD230-06 3/8"
    Ditto these for check valves

This Info is from Omega.com where they will supply the fittings
individualy and they are in Chrome plated Brass.

These should be Colder fittings, I haven't found another maker. Other
companies sell them with similar part numbers. Omega adds the FT- on the
front.

Just an FYI, Cpt is the abbreviation for an Army Captain (O-3). Navy
Captains (O-6) and Marine Captains (O-3) is Capt. Capt. Serlick is Navy
reserve, I believe.
