I very nearly bought that BMW when I bought the 05 ST.

For me it was the opposite to you. BMW would not even flinch on the price. 
The attitude was "why would you even consider another bike?" Having said that, I 
am still impressed with the bike.

I would love to hear your experiences as you get to know it.
