Re: [ST] Shocks and RaceTech

I did the RT emulators and HyperPro springs at the same time so I can't speak about them individually but in my application, it was a BIG difference/improvement over stock. I still play with the adjustments from time to time depending upon the load and how I plan on riding that day but they're pretty minor adjustments.

I also did a Wilbers shock just prior to the fork work. That swap unto itself was well worth the cash! All of it together is fantastic.

The biggest pain in doing the work nyself was drilling the holes in the dampening rods. Make sure you have a good drill and don't forget to dimple the rod where where you plan to drill to keep the bit from wandering.

I used a Motion Pro tool for measuing the fork oil. Makes it so easy!!! I also suggest having a good amount of rags or paper towel around. Fork oil has a tendancy to wind up all over. I'll also wear a shop apron.

You should have to cut the spring spacers either. Don't ask how I know but I did learn BIG washers make excellent spacers.

The Sprint forks are 43mm as are the old Honda Hawk GT (NT650) forks. Since I have both I thought about trying the Honda seals but decided to stick woth OEM.
