I seem to have lucked out on insurance with USAA.
They appear to care about nothing other than engine
displacement--their quote was identical for a DL1000
V-Strom and an '04 Yamaha R1. I think my RS came in a
little below both of those, with the slightly smaller
lump. In all cases the rates could almost be
described as negligible.
Only catch is that you have to be/have been in the
military, or be immediately related to somebody who
is, or who has coverage, I'm not sure which.
