RE: [ST] lifting handle-my mistake



The problem lies in having to bend over so far to reach the handle.  It
makes it harder to transfer the weight to your right foot.

Correct about being on the bike when you bump it off.  And never wear
slick soled shoes, your foot can slip off the lifting lever and then
really bad things happen.  Don't ask.

The trick with all centrestands, as I'm sure many/most of you know, is
to STEP DOWN on the stand with your right foot as you lift (wherever)
all in one coordinated move -- basically you let all your body weight
bear down on the stand and lift very little
