RE: [ST] In Search of the Illusive MC Content

The only time I've touched hard parts on my RS was lightly dragging my right peg feeler twice in the same session on a track day. When I mentioned that to my control rider/coach at the end of the session he told me I should hang off more to keep the bike more upright. Dragging hard parts can lead to crashes (unweighting tires). I also think I wasn't as smooth on the brakes when entering said hairpin and caused the (soft) suspension to compress more than normal, reducing ground clearance.

I've never touched hard parts on the street and usually have small chicken strips on the rear tire when just doing street riding. I'm a pretty conservative rider on the street by sportbike standards (slow old fart). I guess it's nice to know that I have a bit of lean angle in reserve for evasive manuvers should the need arise. Or maybe I just need to grow a set :-)
