[ST] Plastic weld

Here is a url to some pictures of the weld. http://tinyurl.com/4772t I find that temp is trial and error in finding the correct setting, to hot and the plastic rod burns to little and it does not adhere. Parts need to be clean of all paint and beveled deeply. I am pleased with the results. Finished product will be very usable and strong. Considering the cost of panels I think a repair will work well if done correctly.
The why I need this was posted some time back I was hit broadside by a car and I am in the process of replacing all plastic with used items and some of these need repair before painting.

One the leathers thread BMW Atlantis are an excellent choice a bit expensive but very comfy and water resistant.
