Ah, ok. I've worn custom made earplugs for 10 years and
only a few months ago started wearing a regular one
size pair to test them for a company. And I actually
liked that a lot better, the custom made ones always
started leaking sound in some way. The ones I have now
just stay stuck and don't hurt (except when I push them
in just a bit too far or when they have long sticks
protruding outwards pushing on something). I guess
the custom plugs are the way to go then for you...
