OK, some very good riders are just dancing around the truth here (hi
Charlie!!)
The BRP, in it's essence is just one hi-speed roller coaster. With no LEO,
I could average 80mph easily, (someone said "no straights", I think you are
thinking of the deals gap). The BRP was made for cars, and it's got a lot
of nice sweepers, rarely any decreasing radius. Sure the tunnels are
tricky, just be sure you have clear vision, there is slime on the road in
there :)
But otherwise, the BRP is a fast ride (LEO'S excepted). Now TRAFFIC is
another matter altogether. Weekends SUCK, as do any holidays. Stay the
fuck away from the Smoky Mtn Natl Forest Park, unless you like going 30mph
in a conga line.
The road from Deals gap east past fontana dam is one fine road, (27?),
watch out for LEO
In this area, LEO is most likely US forest svc. Usually green Cherokee,
SUV. Check the tag.
A friend from Canada, made a big mistake :--)
