Believe it or not, but the Tmax (followed by Silverwing
and Burgman 650, all with centrally placed engines (not
on swingarm) has started a trend that will more than
overlapse general motorcycles:

Extremely trendy in Japan:

As well as in Italy and other southern European cities plus
Paris. It rides like a sportsbike (except for the horsepower),
the Tmax is as stable as my previous R1150GS (and more stable
as my ST1100 I had before that). 0-60 in 7 seconds isn't
really special, top of 180 km/h. For "scooter", a lot. Fact
is that the engine and suspension are not at all built like
a scooter. The Tmax rear shock is like on a Buell, extension.
It's really a motorcycle (same weight as Sprint ST, same size
as R1150RT), but dressed like a scooter with the bagage capacity
of a scooter and a CVT automatic (gonna miss that...).
They even race them in France:

I'm not going to bite at the "no F...scooters", I've been
able to outrun fireblades, blackbirds and even the R1100S
from a very well skilled girlfriend of mine in the mountains
on this "scooter". It's really a surprising bike. You gotta
ride it to appreciate it.
