It depends on their focus.  I'd guess somewhere around 110hp, which is
75% of the 955 Daytona's output.  I'd gladly trade some top end HP for
more mid-range grunt and have a bike which is more like the ST in
character.  One of the reasons for building a 750 triple is to have
the flexibility inherent to that design and to return to Triumph's
'signature' engine configuration.  

In my experience, v-twins have great grunt but I've never ridden a
1000cc v-twin which impressed me like the smaller displacement ones
like the SV650.  Small inline fours seem to want to rev to the moon
but few have the triple's flexibility.

As to your having been run away from by a lady on a 750, I don't
suppose there is any chance she was a better rider?  Look on the
bright side.  Where would we be without fast women??? ;O)
