The new ST doesnt have a helmet lock. I've never been a fan of them. I've heard of to many helmets being stolen and/or having the strap cut, damaged on the bike etc. The seat is also a bolt on item, but the nuts need a slight modification to captured nyloc items, otherwise its next to impossible to get the bolts back in.
 
Something it does need urgently is a rear hugger. After 750kms including one trip in the rain, I cant believe how much crap is thrown off the back tyre. The trouble is I cant find one for it! 
 
The shop I refer to is Brian Conners Motorcycles at Brookvale. They are local to me so I take my girlfriends CBR600F there. I can also call on Brian for just about anything motorcycle related. I'm dont know what part of Sydney Town you call home so they may not be convenient for you.
 
As for my Triumphs, I've had a good relationship with John Fretten at Blacktown for about 5 years now. 
Brisans in Wickham, Newcastle are also very good for Triumph and BMW. Earlier this year I was in that part of the world and needed about half a litre of oil for my '99 ST as I had just ridden down from Brisbane. As I was fully loaded, I didnt want to buy a bottle. I rang every dealer in Newcastle and no one wanted to help me. Not only did Brisans give me a top up, they spent about 30 minuites on the bike adjusting various things they noticed needing to be done - all for free.

And who would that be?  I'm still looking for a mechanic around Sydney who can 
actually do something other than an oil change (competently).  Email me off 
list if you want.  By the way, does the new Sprint have a helmet hook?
