RE: [ST] Bike Information

One of the guys I ride with rides a bandit 1200S.

He really rates it, and I've been told its a very underrated bike.

Its got a bullet proof torquey motor, good brakes, a comfortable riding position and I've watched him hussle it through the passes leaving me for dust on my RS.

If my RS got swiped or totaled I would seriously look at the bandit as a potential replacement.

I also want a GS, but its too pricey.

cheers

Subject: [ST] Bike Information

Hey all - time to tap the collective knowledge of our group here. I'm
looking at getting another bike and would like some feedback on the
following (if anyone has any experience with them): Suzuki V-Strom
1000, Suzuki Bandit 1200s, Yamaha FZ-1. I'd love to consider the BMW
RT and GS, but I'm not sure that I'm willing to spend that kidn of
money right now.

I'm looking for a capable everyday bike that's more comfortable than
the Sprint and can still can be ridden somewhat spirited though. If
anyone has any good input on these bikes, it would be appreciated -
especially any comparison remarks between them (for that matter, I
should include that I am considering a Triumph Tiger too).

Lastly, specific negative feedback on any of the bikes will be highly
valued - it is all to easy to find praise on any bike these days, but
is much more difficult to find what flaws exist (and every bike has
them....).

Thanks in advance,

Matt Heyer
