19/43 is stock on my 2002 RS. I've been running 18/43 for a couple years which is probably the best compromise. Thing is, I try to avoid the highway, so perhaps a bit of extra pep from another 2 teeth in the rear will be fun. I think they switch from an 18 to a 19 in 2000.

Man, I have 17/46 on my speed triple, and it's a blast. One of the best things I'm finding about the ST though is the gearing, seems perfect for sport touring. Easier on the passenger and less tiring for the rider. Stock is 18/43, correct?
