Well, all y'all can do what ya like, as will I. And for me, that means
plugging the tire on the road, completing whatever trip I am on and then
replacing the tire as soon as I return home, regardless of the mileage.
I also have no personal knowledge of tire failure due to being patched,
and I do not intend to find out :--)
Y'all carry on, I figure the additional 150 bucks is well spent for
peace of mind and more certainty of safety. I ain't that cheap, but I'm
a chicken, I guess :--)
