You probably said it all with your comments about tearing a cord. I would 
assume that is what the tire companies are worried about mostly. I was just 
beginning to think a patch plug would not be too risky until you mentioned 
the possibility of tearing a cord. Now I am back into the replace it crowd 
as soon as possible.
