Has it been compromised? To a certain extent yes but not enough that it makes
any real difference. There more difference between a worn out tyre and a new
one.

Irrelavent as long as you keep to the speed limits.

They will all recomend fitting a new set of their own brand of tyre, what a
suprise. With the upsurge of litigation due to the "blame culture" spreading
from the States I'm suprised motorcycles are still legal.

[1] To my mind I've always considered the fact that a slow puncture due to the
leaking of a tyre plug is less of a compromise than the sudden deflation of an
unpluged tyre due to a puncture. So in reality there is very little further
risk as long as the new design envelope is followed.
