Mick,

I had this some time ago. It was the sprocket seal. At this time the dealer mecanic said it was common the moment. He said he saw some occurances of the same problem. The seal is pretty obvious to change. Just have to have a 46 mm sprocket + bar breaker to remove the sprocket. At this time the bike was waranty covered.

To be sure, use a mirror after removing the sprocket cover. You should see the leak.
