Re: [ST] H-D hatred

It is not a Bed and Breakfast but I love the Pisgah Inn which is located around milepost 407 of the BRP. (About 60 miles from the south end of the BRP)

Agree with previous items.

1. I can't see buying an HD, because I think they're overpriced. Their
technology is old and is just now starting to use technology that's
been available for years.

2. I'll be renting an HD to take my wife on a long ride to a bed &
breakfast somewhere down the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Question: Can anyone recommend a B&B somewhere along the Blue Ridge
Pkwy? I'd like to take a trip of at least 2-300 miles away from
Knoxville, TN. Sorry, not sure what city that puts us close to.

I'm looking at getting a Corbin seat tomorrow at the Honda Hoot, as the
stock seat is totally unusable for her (she's good for about 5 miles and
that's it)! Perhaps after I get the Corbin I won't have to rent an HD
for a long ride. Actually, one of the other bike shops in town is
planning on renting Gold Wings, which I'd really prefer over an HD.

Right on Les! Although my Sprint is by far the most used bike in my garage, I'm a big fan of The Motor Co. I too hate the poser culture that's pretty much defined that group of riders these days. But there are riders out there that don't subscribe to that scene -- and we'll be around long after those guys have gotten bored and moved on. It's a completely different feeling, crusing along on my Softail, but just as awesome as twisty roads on my ST. If it's got two wheels and an engine -- I'm interested! It always amazed me, the way even riders are prejudiced against one another based on the make of bike they ride. I know there are plenty of riders who are not like this, but I've seen enough of it over the years to know that there is too large a precentage that are.

Sorry for the off-topic, philosophical post!
