[ST] K&N Oil Filters

While the media is probably just fine, I won't ever use a K&N filter again on my bike. I've been bit twice now with shotty quality control on their part. The first was a couple years ago, a missing o-ring. Yeah, the great big one that seals the filter to the block. And recently I had one that the threaded center hole was not the correct size. It would spin on, and snug up. But once the bike was started, it began pouring oil all over the floor. Nope, I'm going to stick with the Triumph filters. The agrivation I've experienced with these two situations isn't made up by the savings difference between the 2 branded filters.

I got a K&N filter for my new-to-me 01 gixxer ... which is what it had
before... next time I'll look for one for the Sprint too. Wonder if that
feature's patented because it's such a practical feature but I haven't run
into it anywhere else. Did not have any removal problems at all with the K&N
filter on the gixxer. How's K&N's reputation for oil filters? I assume/hope
it's good.

I use the K&N Oil filter on my RS. It has a nut on the back of the filter.
Works wonderfully and uses a standard wrench.
