[ST] Racing and one design

I'm about to get struck by lightning for saying this :

Some of the best racing I've seen in years has been on our local racing circuit, in the BMW boxer cup racing.

In two years the racing field has grown massively, as more and more riders switch to this format.

The rules are very strict, only exhaust, tune and suspension height mods are allowed to stock BMW1100s bikes. No engine mods or fancy suspensions are allowed.

The racing is extreme, very tight as all the bikes run similar speeds, crashes and positions changes every few seconds are the order of the day.

The other scary thing is how close the lap times are to the big guns (GSX1000's etc). They are only a couple of seconds off the pace.

I recon the BMW1100s must be one of the most underrated bikes on the planet, its almost in the ST/ RS class! When they replace it with the new 1200 motor they might have quite a bike.

Now how about an RS/ ST cup?

cheers
