RE: [ST] Another emulator question........

George,
I have not put RT emulators on an ST but I have put them on another bike.
My experience with RT is that the instructions and their calculator are
very generic. I also found that if you use their phone support you have
to get past Wendy or whatever her name is and get to one of the guys in
the back. Again, this is my experience and of several others who were
setting up Kawasaki forks in that the instructions got you to a good
starting point. I'm not sure how big you are but I'm 6'2+" and 230
pounds. The calculator said I needed something like 1.15 kg/mm springs
and all they made at the time was .95 and below. Most of the guys that I
knew said count on pulling the emulators out at least once to get them
right. Mine was three times. First time was too harsh, the second was
perfect, the third was trying to get it better and the fourth was changing
it back to number two. If you lighter I don't think you will have to fool
around as much as I did. I did have to play with sag a bit. My
instruction put cutting spacers for the pre-load adjustment at min
pre-load, but a friend suggested putting them in the middle and he was
right. Getting them in the ball park isn't hard, and ball park ain't bad,
but I sure recommend finding someone who knows how to dial in your
suspension to help.
