Two Bros sells a short "S" shaped pipe with the exhaust that allows the pipe
to be dropped down This "S" pipe allows you to put on the side panniers.
Also, even with the pipe in the high position, it doesn't come close to the
passengers leg. My wife rides with me and has never burned herself or even
felt any uncomfortable heat.

Even though their website says the pegs can be used, I wouldn't want to
be the passenger that has to sit with their thigh resting on the hot
can. Actually I wouldn't want to be the passenger either way, so let's
say I wouldn't want to listen to the passenger that has their thigh
resting on a hot can.
