RE: [ST] BAD Cop.......

Agreed on the pissing contest. It just annoys me with what generally
unions have become, and this unfortunately is a prime example (and you
are in the trenches of unions there in Jersey - no area of the country
has quite the thugery displayed by the unions in Jersey - especially
Hudson County. I unfortunately speak from a family that has been on
both sides, in different areas). Now they are useful organizations with
a definite role and place, but they do themselves harm when they defend
employee actions that do not warrant defense. It would give them more
credibility with the cases they should stand up for (which do exist), if
they wouldn't just defend anything and everything that any employee
does. Sometimes people deserve the consequences for their actions. And
that goes for many areas of life....

Subject: Re: [ST] BAD Cop.......

Being a union member and having served on the executive board of two
different locals, I really don't want to get into a pissing contest over
this. Unions are there to represent the workers, good or bad. I pay my
dues and I expect them to support me when things go wrong.

Anyway, I hope this donut-boy gets his arse sued quite heavily. If I was
that caller I know that I would have been extremely distraught.
Considering all the different ways that he could get punished, 15 days
is nothing. 18 years of service is no excuse for treating someone that
way in those circumstances.
