Saying or even insinuating that self-maintenance will void a warranty
does not make it so.  It's only a FUD tactic.

Now if the dealer or manufacturer can prove that someone did something
bad or neglected to do something required, then that is a different
matter.  User records only help to establish the facts.  In my opinion,
their possible absence proves nothing.

There are laws that address this situation, and although details may
vary from place to place, if you check into it, I think you'll find
consistency on this basic issue.
