[ST] electrical demons (sorry longish)

Chuck, bet you have a bad (broken) ground wire connection in the loom
from the left grip, about 3 - 5 inches down. Anyone with a bike before
2003 should inspect this wire joint and resolder it before it fails.

Call Palm Beach Triumph and get a better price on an ST, then show it to
your dealer and get a better price.

Has anyone heard of problems like this? I can't continue paying dealer
labor rates every couple of months.

The dealer quoted me $13000 including tax and license for a new ST
today. They wouldn't give me a quote for trade in on my bike, until the
mechanics look at it. I think I could swing the payments, but the wife
would not allow it.
