Re: [ST] electrical demons (longish response)

Tony,

Thanks for the advice. I hadn't heard anything negative about Cycle
Barn. I heard they poached the triumph tech from I-90 motorsports and
that he was supposed to be good. I ride with Dave Preston
occasionally, and he is great guy who works for cycle barn.

I ride all year long and commute daily on the bike. I stopped taking
the bike to I-90 as it was just too far away. I live in Lake Forest
Park and work downtown. I do hate the fact that you never even see
the people who work on your bike at Cycle Barn, you only talk to the
service writers and while they probably know more than me, they aren't
mechanics.

Each problem has been corrected, but different items keep failing.
Andy mentioned a the possibility of a bad ground, I don't know enough
to know whether that could cause mutiple relays to fail at different
times.

I still think I will look for 2002 -2003 ST in Red.

Thanks Again,
Chuck

I have delt with Howard at Champion Cycle in Bellingham and I am highly pleased with him as well. An aquaintance just purchased a new Rocket III from Champion Cycle and also speaks highly of the experience. Champion was highly reccomended by a local bike shop. My experience at Cycle Barn made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Many folks as far away as the Black Hills of SD have heard about Cycle Barn, Im not making this up, proceed w/caution here. That many riders spread out over that much land cannot be totally wrong.

I choose bachelorhood over domesticated cagerhood and bought the new 00 ST anyway.......she never really left, I will try again w/a Rocket III in a year or two. :) :) Seriously, I really hope that you get it repaired correctly and quickly, summer is far to short around here!
