RE: [ST] bad ground wire

Anything is possible with electrical demons. In the fall I'm going to
re-run the article on the Lucas "Smoke" theory of electrical engineering
in "Legends of the Lost Empire". Short explanation; "Smoke" conducts
the electricityy in a bike, and if you let it out, nothing works
anymore. Any sign of smoke when you had the problems?

If the bike is handy, just slit the cover, or peel it back if you can,
and check the joint where a single ground wire comes from the left grip
and becomes 2 at a junction. Sometimes you can verify the problem by
gently moving the loom and holding the key at start.

Couldn't have been your shirt, they are demagnetized prior to shipment.
