[ST] 2nd Annual Motoman Rally

Tom Bridges, the deluded fool, has asked me to pass along this
information to his fellow RotLE members. Hopefully about 200 of you
will show up and his lovely wife will leave him, giving the rest of us a
chance. Just for fun, we'll include the net groups, too.

Sadly, prior commitments will prevent me from attending this year.

2nd Annual Motoman Rally

May 27 - 30 Memorial Day Weekend

Morganton North Carolina

Here is the info for the Motoman Rally :

$25.00 per bike

Although non-denominational, mainly Triumph

Arrival anytime Friday (27) after 12 noon (in case I have to sleep
late). If we get enough guys in, we'll take a ride around local
twisties, maybe a quick blast up 181. Dinner will be shrimp, flounder,
catfish, hush puppies, slaw, and for you non-fish people, chicken
strips, bbq, hot wings, maybe even a pizza or two. Bar is stocked, 2
fridges full of beer . kegs also. Pool and hot tub are ready to roll.
Casino and arcade are also open and ready for business. Cinema is open
with over 600 movies in stock. Camping on the back forty. There will be
things to entertain spouses/significant others if they choose not to
ride. Children are also welcome. If they are left after the rally, they
will be sold into slavery.

Saturday - Breakfast is served. Late sign up for those who couldn't make
it the night before. Polish and gas up bikes, get ready to ride. Several
loops and intensity levels will be available. Roads to include 181- Blue
Ridge Parkway - 221 - 226 - 80 - 194. Ride on your own route if you know
of a place you want to explore, but . you definitely want to be back by
6:30 Saturday night. 3 Grill cook-out (steak, hamburgers, hotdogs,
chicken, etc) Live band and drawings for lots of door prizes. Belly flop
contest, best legs contest (won by Madmotomike last year), and more.
Kilts, as always, are optional casual wear. Party into the wee hours of
the morning !!

Sunday - Breakfast is served. Rides on the roads of your choice. Late
afternoon (3-5 pm) lunch, dinner, supper, served. Most everybody packed
up and headed out last year on Sunday, however, Monday is a holiday and
all are welcome to stay Sunday and head out Monday. Extra festivities
and libations at the H2O training facility (pool).

I wanted cheerleaders, but the wife shot down that idea. I just wanted
all to know that I had, indeed, thought of that, I just wasn't allowed
to bring my plan to fruition.
