I just got back from my first long trip of the season. Feels good to be
back in the LD game.
<<<<BIG SNIP>>>>
All told, something over 3000 miles, no mechanical problems, one new tire
which is now severely flat spotted, not a single curve the whole way.
Temps from 28F to 75F (mostly under 45F though). I avoided the snow, the
rain and most of the crosswinds.
Fun trip.

Just catching up on my backlog of messages. Nice report Dan. It's good to
get out and just put some miles in, ehhhh? In the last year, it seemed I
took off on every dang trip, 'almost' needing a tire, but thinking I could
make it. Had to chase down a tire on NoArk last October, 4:30 on a Friday
afternoon. The local Kawasaki guys fixed me up, but only had a supersport
tire. 2000 miles later I'm in Hill Country and said tire is finished.
Spent the good part of a day chasing down a tire in San Antone, another
"supersport was the best I could do.
Just before Hill Country this year, I was just showing the wear bars on the
Avon Azzaro rear. Should I chance it again? Nope, new rear before I left.
Thanks for the report, Danny boy.
