I haven't had too many street bikes. But the ones I have had have been 
great ones:

1977 Suzuki RM-80 bought new on my 12th birthday
1978 Kawasaki KE-100 noticed this one on many folks lists
1980 or 81 Kawasaki KDX175 prolly put 10,000 off road miles on it in an 
area where there aren't too many trails over 4-5 miles in length. Just 
simply rode it nearly every day for hours. Put many top end's in it and a 
couple of bottoms.
1982 KDX-440: a real brute
1979 KTM125 with an electrical problem

pause, college, substance abuse induced poverty, etc.

1995: Good year, bought a ' 93 VFR750, yeah the beautiful white one. Put 
35K miles on her. What a fine bike.
2000 Bought a new Red Sprint ST, another great bike, put 25K on this one 
but then ran it off in the woods at 30mph in
December of 2003.
Replaced with what? Futura? ST4s? R1100RS? Na. 2000 Sprint ST in a better 
color, Sapphire Blue, bought used with
1760 miles on it. Have about 9K now. Have not been riding too much 
unfortunately.
In between the VFR and the first Sprint I bought new a 1999 Yamaha YZ400F 
which is just an awesome bike, bulletproof, hell-for-strong fast, handles 
like I guess the streetbike equivalent of a R6. Love it, rode it this past 
Sunday at a local practice track on a perfect day weather wise with perfect 
dirt.
And a Derbi GPR 50/75 the little race-replica 2 stroke toy which was quite 
fun. Traded it even with a buddy for his 1995 Yamaha TZ250 which is even 
more fun BUT I'm gonna sell it and buy probably a Gixxer 750 track bike. If 
anybody's got one they want to shed ping me offlist. Or anyone int. in the 
TZ which btw weighs ~280 and puts out in the nice neighborhood of 80hp;-)
