I can place my large Aria Signet GT or my Large Shoei X9 also but the X9  one is a little bulkier and its position is vital to closing the hardbag w/o binding. I find I have to face them forward and set them in carefuly, sometimes holding them in place while I ease the trap shut!
 
If I have gloves or anything I simply fill the helmet before putting it in.
 
I even do a fair amount of grocery shopping w/this machine. Now if someone can tell me how to get that 50lb sack of dogfood home Ill be all set! (I used to strap it to the sissy on my ironhead sporty)
 
Anyone happen to be selling a top trunk w/mounting hardware (red)?
