RE: [ST] new helmets

Another thought. I just looked at my latest issue of Motorcyclist last night
and they have an extensive article on helmets. There is some very
enlightening information dealing with not just the ability of the lids to
withstand a hit, but (in their opinion, and mine FWTW) the more important
factor, how many G's your head/brain has to absorb. Both the 400 and 700
were tested and did well, but the 400 performed better because the plastic
shell is softer than the laminated one and therefore absorbs more shock on
impact. But even better, one of the best results came from the Z1R: ZPR-1.
Besides being one of the safest, they said it had great fit, finish, was
quiet, weighed only one ounce more than the lightest helmet in the test
(Arai Tracker GT) and you get it all for $79.95 in solid colors.

I found both Scorpions on EBay, but no Z1R's

Thanks,
Bob

Thanks guys for the feedback. The EXO 700 is on my shopping list, if I can
find one.

Tom - BTW it's ARAI not ARIA.  ;-}
