Re: [ST] Helmet Life

I also heard that the oils from your scalp and hair eventually do damage
to the Styrofoam, which sounds feasible.

I know for my part I've watched my helmet fall of the seat of the bike
at least twice in two years and each impact does reduce the ability to
absorb future impacts. 5 years doesn't sound like a bad idea. Besides,
they keep getting quieter and lighter and easier to clean.

If you believe the manufacturers, 5 years.

Since it's been a bit dull around here, let me liven it up with an
interesting question.

Assumptions:
1) It's of modern design.
2) Never been dropped or crashed.
3) Interior and straps are in good condition

Topic: How long could one safely continue to use a motorcycle helmet
before replacing it with another new one?
