[ST] RS Question

I have just turned 5500 miles on my RS.  The other morning I started it up and the oil image was flashing and the red light stayed on.  I checked the oil level and noticed the oil was moving slow due to the temperature drop in the 50s. After a few minutes the light went out and stayed off, but repeated again the next ride.

Plugged oil filter?

Has anyone had this happen?

What viscocity oil should I run?  any options for type and brand?
