Re: [ST] headlight relay

Very sad - I had to pull the relay I fitted, after I checked on it yesterday and found that it was very hot, despite the bike having been off for a while. The relay is obviously not right for some reason - so I'll have to track down the right one.

The lights are wired just like was suggested : with the high beam relay pulled only one high beam comes on, while the dip activates the low beam in the other light.

To get both lights working on both dip and high you need a relay for the dip and for the high, which sit side by side. I don't now if the relays are identical.

The order of the relays is : Flasher, then starter cut out, then high beam, then low beam.

The relay that got hot is: Hella 4RA 003510-08.

My dip light relay on my bike is : Hella 4RA940010-71.

Does anyone know if the high beam relay would be the same as the dip relay ?

(I'm wondering why my dip relay has a different no to the ones listed below.)

thanks

Marc

Glad you sorted it out Marc.

Even though these are standard items, perhaps we should compile a list
of acceptable relays by manufacturer and part number.

Here's my contribution: 	Bosch 0332 014 150;
...and from Emile's website: 	Hella 4RA 007 791-021
