[ST] 05 ST Heat

Summer is finally arriving, kicking and screaming in Sydney town. We've had a few warm days so I've finally managed to experience my 05 ST in summer conditions.

The first thing I noticed was my right lower leg getting very warm. Then I realised the vertical piece of the exhaust pipe is right there. The small piece of heat sheilding does nothing. Both legs and my butt are affected at poodling traffic speeds, about 60kph or less. 70kph seems to be enough air flow to move some heat away. I will find out soon how this goes on a long trip.

I have heard via another list that Triumph have owned up to this and are designing an extra heat sheild to go under the seat.

Is there anyone with aerodynamic experience that my be able to suggest a way of adding a fairing to duct the warm air from the engine?

Brett
Sydney.
