I can shed some light on these ones, Bob.

There is more heat coming from the '05 than previous models. I have found
that the seat doesnt get as hot, but my legs do. The right one in particular as
the vertical piece for the tail pipe is located about three inches from my
calf.
So far this has only been a problem for me on days when the temp is 30+C.
Considering we're having a really CRAP summer so far its not that much of a
problem. Over about 60kmph there seems to be enough airflow to move the heat away.

See above.

I have not noticed any "buzz". I would describe the '05 ST as silky smooth
and a very usable package. The increased engine capacity, changes to suspension
and geometry are all definate improvements. I love riding this bike more than
I loved riding my '99 ST and I had 85,500 awesome kms on that!

Ummm.....to bright for whom??? They are brighter and I for one am thankful.
Cage drivers notice me! I can see a lot better at night. I've never had so
much candle power from the front of a bike. I did have to muck about a bit
adjusting them down as I found myself possum spotting when riding home on unlit
roads at night.

The complete three box system as supplied from Triumph sucks. Completely. End
of story. (Yes they do leak.)

I have written to Triumph detaling all this and more. I have heard that
rectification work is in the pipeline.

Good to see you are still riding, Bob. Hope you're doing well.

Brett,
Sydney.
4200kms so far on the '05 ST.
